West Austin: Do you know someone that commutes on 360?
mcb writes "I'm considering commuting to work from the Arboretum area of 360 to Bee Caves and 360.
Does anyone commute in the mornings, or ride early on weekdays, on 360?
I've ridden 360 many times on the weekends, but I am a little nervous about the way drivers behave during morning rush hour. I will be starting out at about 7:00am.
Thanks for any help!"

South Austin: Biking between South Congress at Stassney and UT?
lauralou writes "Hello,
I am a novice cycler, and I'm planning to get a bike this summer so I can start biking to school at UT in the fall. My house is at South 1st/South Congress and Stassney. I'm wondering how safe it is to bike all the way up South Congress to downtown, then over to Lavaca and up to Guadalupe. South 1st looks way too dangerous, but is South Congress much better? Any route suggestions are appreciated.
thanks!
Laura "

Central Austin: Biking to UT Campus from 38th and Guad
star1827 writes "I want to ride my bike during the school year from the north side of 38th between Guad and Lamar to the UT Campus. Is it safe to ride down Guadalupe? Do people usually use the sidewalk or do they ride in the street? Thank you for your opinions as I haven't ridden my bike to campus or on such public roads before."

Moving to Austin and looking for an area that accesses great rides
vtgator writes "I am roadie and moving to Austin and want to find an area that is close to work which will be in the Arboretum, and also be able to access roads that are good for road rides, or at least roads that can get me to good riding. Basically I really do not want to drive to get good riding in.
thanks"

South Austin: 78748 to 78754
texyak writes "I'm looking for a fast, safe bicycle commute from South Austin (Slaughter & Bilbrook, to be exact) up to Ridgepoint Drive near the 183/290 interchange in Northeast Austin. I've mapped a couple of routes that are around 16-18 miles each way, but I'd have to use Cameron Rd and 290 East and I'm frankly a little leery of both. However, if it has to be done, it has to be done. The shortest route I could come up with is here (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1992316). I'd really appreciate any input and advice from the rest of the highly knowledgeable and experienced cycling commuters out there. Thanks in advance!"

North Austin: Arboretum to Round Rock
Texas-Todd writes "I live in NW Hills near the Arboretum and work in Round Rock. The route I take is Steck to Burnet, Burnet to Braker, Braker to Metric, Metric to Parmer, Parmer to Lamar, Lamar up to Howard (you have to go on the side of the road to the actual light), cross under the bridge and take the feeder road the rest of the way up to Greenlawn (and over to Dell for me). The best areas with a bike lane are Metric and Parmer...the rest of them you are riding with traffic so be careful. On the way home I cross I-35 by taking Greenlawn back to the feeder of I-35 north, ride up to the intersection and take the turn around bridge. I head down the feeder back to Howard and retrace my route to NW Hills."

Northwest Austin: Anderson Mill Bicycle Lane
gv82 writes "I just started commuting to work once or twice per week from Steiner Ranch (on 620 just south of 2222) to Mopac & Duval. The new bicycle lane on Anderson Mill makes this ride possible. I considered it too dangerous prior to constructions finishing on Anderson Mill.
Thank you to anyone that had a hand in getting a bicycle lane put in on Anderson Mills!"

I found this - http://bicycleaustin.info/getaround/route-elgin.html

way recently and can comment on a good route from central austin.
And John Anderson replied..."

North Austin: Pflugerville to Loop 360 and US 183
Joel writes "From austin bikes
I have a friend who wants to bike from Pflugerville (say the corner of
Heatherwilde and the Pflugerville Loop) to the Whole Foods in Gateway
Plaza. I've done this ride once or twice and can offer suggestions, but
maybe someone who lives in the area has some specific suggestions for
the best way to go without getting run over?
And Kevin Corry replied...
